Mice and Bats in Hamilton, ON – July 18th, 2012

On July 18^th, 2012, All Wildlife Removal received a call from David in Hamilton about mice in his house. David said that he could hear them running around in the walls and wanted the evicted as soon as possible. Mice can do a lot of damages to a house, such as chewing cords and ruining insulation. It is important to remove these animals right away to minimalize the damages.

 

We sent out a technician right away to do a full house inspection for David. Our technician started at the ground level and found the entry area that the mice were using. He also found that he would have to screen all the weeping brick vents on David’s house as well as a wall vent and caulk 165 linear feet of the house. As our technician moved upwards through the house, he found another entry area used by a different animal. It became very clear that David had, not only mice, but bats in his house. Our technician found two more problem areas as well as three roof vents that would need to be box screened and two plumbing systems that would need to be screened and caulked.

 

First, our technician removed the bats from the house. Then he installed one-way doors that allow the animals to leave the house but, not return. Our technician then sealed all entry and problem areas as well as the roof vents, wall vents, plumbing systems and weeping brick vents. He caulked 165 linear feet of David’s house as well to ensure that no mice would be able to get in. After all the preventative work was complete, our technician scheduled a clean-up for David’s attic that the mice and bats had ruined.

 

After the inspection, removal, preventative work and clean-up, our technician presented David with a guarantee that his house would be protected from mice, bats, rats, birds, raccoons and squirrels.
