Bri from Mississauga, Ontario called All Wildlife Removal on June 12th, 2012 about raccoons in her attic. Raccoons can carry extremely harmful diseases like roundworm and rabies and can be contracted as soon as the animal enters the house. We sent out one of our technicians right away to Bri’s house.
First, our technician did a full house inspection. He started at the bottom and found that, not only were raccoons living in her house, but so were mice. This meant that our technician would have to caulk 370 linear feet of the house, install weather stripping and screen all weeping brick vents. He would also have to screen four wall vents. Our technician found that he would install 220 feet of drip edge and screen and caulk five plumbing systems. After that, our technician found that there were two entry points and six problem areas as well as eight roof vents that all needed to be caulked and screened and reinforce numerous drain downspouts.
Our technician installed one way doors that allow animals, such as raccoons and mice, to leave the house but, not return. This is the most humane way to evict an animal. Our technician then installed all drip edge and weather stripping as well as screening and caulking all plumbing systems, roof and wall vents, problem areas and, of course, entry points. He then scheduled a clean-up with Bri.
After the inspection, removal and preventative work were finished, our technician presented Bri with a guarantee that her house would be protected from raccoons, mice, rats, bats, birds and squirrels.
