Raccoons in St. Catherines, ON – June 5th, 2012

On June 5^th, 2012, Laura in St. Catherines, Ontario called us at All Wildlife Removal. Laura said that there were squirrels in her attic and they were making loud, scratching noises. She could not pinpoint how long they had been in her attic but, she was sure they hadn’t been there long. No matter the length of time that animals are living in an attic, it is important to remove them right away to minimalize damages.

 

First, our technician did an inspection for Laura. He found the entry area easily as well as two problem areas in the front and rear roof soffit intersections that would need to be screened and caulked. He also found seven roof vents that would need to be box screened and two plumbing systems that would need to be screened and caulked to prevent raccoons from ripping them open to get inside the attic. Our technician would need to reinforce four drain downspouts as well. Raccoons will sit on these and break them open which can allow them to rip apart edging and get inside attics.

 

Our technician installed one-way doors to evict the raccoons in the most humane way possible. These one-way doors allow the raccoons to leave the house but, they can not re-enter through them. Our technician then secured, screened and caulked all entry areas, problem areas and anything that could be a potential problem. This way, the raccoons will be unable to get in the attic or house.

 

After the inspection, eviction and preventative work, our technician presented Laura with a guarantee that her house would be protected from raccoons, bats, birds, squirrels, mice and rats. She was very happy with All Wildlife Removal’s services.
